- 51 Kenyan firefighters participated in vocational training in technical rescue and firefighting: 38 trainees participated in a certified vocational training at level 3 and basic short firefighting training was provided for 13 Kenyan firefighters, including 10 newly recruited firefighters who will reinforce the personnel of the new unit in Makindu (which is currently being constructed by PCPM in collaboration with Polish Aid);
- Thanks to Polish aid funding, the newly constructed fire station in Makueni Countywill be shortly equipped with a specialised rescue vehicle. Currently, the vehicle is undergoing conversion to further serve as a road traffic accidents / medical rescue vehicle.
- Prior Learning Recognition system (PLAR) under TVET in the profession of firefighter was created.
- Road and specialised rescue equipment was distributed to fire brigades in 6 regions of Kenya: Makueni, Uasin Gishu, Garissa, Kisii, Taita- Taveta, Nyeri.
- FIRETRACK Centre’s representatives were part of Kenya’s Fire Chiefs Conference in October 2021 and a month later participated in the Annual Conference of Governors in Kenya. The latter conference was opened by Kenyan President, Jomo Kenyatta and, in addition to thematic meetings it also included a national innovation fair. A 5-person delegation of PCPM and CFOA-K hosted a stand dedicated to the fire brigade in Kenya. As part of the expo PCPM promoted, among others, Kiambu FIRETRACK Centre with its operations and a forthcoming construction of the local firefighting complex in Makueni county, financed by Polish Aid in 2021-2022. The stand attracted a lot of attention from delegations from various counties and the private sector.
